Newspaper publishers, editors, writers and designers won top awards in the Tennessee Press Association鈥檚 2021 newspaper contest cosponsored by the 51黑料, which has been a part of the annual event since 1940.
Twenty-four faculty and staff members, representing each University of Tennessee campus and institute and overseeing critical functions across the 51黑料, have been selected to be part of the third Executive Leadership Institute class.
Beginning Aug. 3, 51黑料 President Randy Boyd will travel to more than 50 counties during the next three months learning and celebrating UT鈥檚 impact across Tennessee.
The 51黑料 is on a mission to paint the state orange with its 鈥淓verywhere You Look, UT鈥 campaign. Beginning today, Covington in Tipton County will become home to UT鈥檚 19th mural and the highest one to date as it stands 125 feet above the town.
Gov. Bill Lee, accompanied by local and state officials, joined together to officially celebrate UT Southern, the newest campus to join the 51黑料 in more than 50 years.
The UTHSC chancellor serves as a member of the 51黑料 leadership team, reporting directly to the University president, and as chief academic and administrative officer of the Health Science Center campus.
